fortunately, that meant that the vermin's hoards were kept out of sight of the greedy dibbuns who would have gotten into much mischief trying to steal them away.

Unfortunately, with everyone in the Abbey dead and the vermin chased away, the only mischief left to be made was on each other.

fortunately, the people in the abbey were only pretending to be dead to try to dissuade mischief, and since the dibbuns saw through the ruse, they were able to cause mischief on the adults once again!
