Fortunately, the mole Dibbuns were still with the group, and were more than happy to bore their way through the rock!

Unfortunately, the rock turned out to be an ancient sleeping rock giant who was not very pleased to be bothered by boring beasts

Fortunately, Celebes never left the dorm without a pocket sized board game lest somebeast accuse him of being a bore.

Unfortunately, the rock giant was bad at boardgames and a poor loser so he flipped the board over

Fortunately, the board game board was double sided!

unfortunately, all the game peices had been lost when the board was flipped.

Fortunately, the dibbuns' imagination was great enough to allow them to become the game pieces themselves!

unfortunately, some of the younger dibbuns got bored with that and wandered off to get lost somewhere.

Fortunately, every dibbun is an orphan anyway, so they weren't really missed.

unfortunately, Martin sees every Redwaller as his family, so when he noticed they were missing, he took the other Dibbuns on a quest to find them.

Fortunately, these Dibbuns had lost their faith in the leadership of Martin by now, and abandoned him before the search got too strenuous.
