This seems like a great place to end this first riddle, no? Three pages, 41 lines, not bad, not bad!
The Poem that skirts the Boundery of the Ruleset
Harken, ye beast, if tis my treasure ye seek Then seek ye first the statue meek, Of beast not mice nor badger lord But he of those who walk the ford. Underneath the sculpture tall In seasons after fall Seek ye the lay of first light In the wake of moonless night Dig three paces from the sentinels gaze Where entrance lay to my maze Where shines the moon on scented bloom Peek in thy snout and embrace the gloom For within there is no escape Until, for good or ill, thou meets thy fate So take heed my dearest beast And put your paws towards the east Walk five sunsets towards the sun To where the glimmering gold was won Beneath the virtuous' and the vermin's same sun There find in my ruined lair The rumoured regalia o' land most fair And place your paw on the marker orange To push it down one more inch Then stand with your companions in a circle the meaning of my words to clinch As the staircase is revealed, Descend, if you dare, beneath the field, And face what lay below Making sure no fear to show For when you are stung by a wasp All hope for the quest shall be lost As you take your final breath And move beyond the veil of death So keep watch and take great care And you shall find your fair share First a collection of the reddest bulb Try not to down them in one gulp Second a chest of the purest coin Do be wary to avoid its purloin Lastly find the treasure true Which is love, from me to you.
Anyone want to throw out a new first line? The rhyming schema can change too, of course!
