OOC: Oh dear, I'm going to get in trouble for this. I, er, don't exactly have 5 points in the BP yet but I have a bunch of activities pending review so... I decided to get on with this .
Name: Runali Deeploam
Species: Mole
Gender: Female
Dibbun Weapon: Heavy Book
Adult Weapon: A self-designed weapon which resembles a thick hardwood staff but has slits at either ends concealing long thin blades which can be quickly slid out and locked in with an inlaid mechanism. She is also able to wield a sling with considerable skill.
Appearance: Runali (or Runa as she prefers to be called) is a mole of average size, rather slender and slim of build for her specie. Her lustrous black fur is slightly longer than most moles as are her eyelashes under which shine a pair of calm, intelligent brown eyes. Runa’s digging claws are noticeably smaller than most moles but nonetheless quite strong, the small claws able to accurately hold a quill as well as dig tunnels. Her preferred manner of dressing is elegant simplicity; a forest green skirt and shirt coupled with a plaited belt for traveling, the traditional green habit of Redwall Sisters when she is at Redwall, and a single beautiful purple colored, flowered dress for special occasions and feasts. As a Dibbun she wears a single small green tunic which is noticeably less stained then most of her friends.
Personality: As a Dibbun, Runa has a tendency to be more calm and thoughtful than her fellow Dibbuns, thinking through problems with an unusual amount of logic for her age, even if the problem is getting past a cook to steal a scone (her favorite food). She loves to read and draw and is often teased about her bookish tendencies, something which she can take seriously to heart. Helpful, friendly, and mild-mannered most of the time, Runa is well-liked by most of the elders and Abbey dwellers; until, that is, she throws a tantrum. The fact is, that both as an infant and an adult, Runa holds grudges easily for both real and imagined wrongs and is very sensitive to insults and teasing, often quietly nursing her anger until it erupts in fury. The calm, compassionate molemaid then turns into a spiteful, snobby, and proud character making her somewhat hard to get along with. Although she will not readily walk into danger, the molemaid regards physical attacks with the same calm composure she adopts when trying to solve an especially hard problem and has no qualms about taking a life, as long as she has had time to reflect upon the righteousness of the act. During all her life, Runa retains her love of books, reading, thinking, and mapping, finding real peace and happiness in the solitary quest for knowledge. This, coupled with her healthy dose of mole logic and excellent memory, makes her a renowned problem-solver, philosopher and scholar.
