Name: Isaiah
Species: Mouse
Gender: Male
Dibbun Weapon: For most purposes, Isaiah favors his pillow for a weapon. He keeps the pillow guarded by a stained, navy-blue pillow case, and Isaiah won’t take the pillow into battle without it. When a pillow is not suitable for the occasion, Isaiah makes use of his slingshot along with whatever ammunition happens to be handy, usually stale candied chestnuts.
Adult Weapon: Isaiah is most skilled with the sling n’ stones. Though he keeps a small dagger on him as a precaution, he isn’t particularly comfortable with using it.
Appearance: As a dibbun, Isaiah pays practically no attention at all to his appearance. Not only is his brown fur unfailingly disheveled, but wearing a tunic inside out or missing a sandal is a common accident that rarely seems to faze him. The mouse tends towards clothes that are easy to take on and off—function over form—further testament to his disregard of fashion. This generally includes various tunics and vests, sandals too, though Isaiah would always prefer to go barepawed. Colors are of no consequence to Isaiah.
Despite his untidy appearance, the dibbun still has a few decent looking characteristics. His unkempt brown fur is complemented by patches of lighter, sandy-brown fur on his stomach, and his dark chocolaty brown eyes standout from his fur. The darker color gives his eyes the impression of being very deep and almost black under the right lighting. There's a calculating look ever-present behind those dark eyes, a gleam as a plan starts to piece itself together. Isaiah's mouth is constantly upturned into a mischievous grin, though some might call it a smirk.
Isaiah is just slightly under the average height for a mouse. He isn't short by much, but every inch matters for Isaiah, being one of the smallest species Redwall is home to. The mouse never achieves the height he wishes, always being just under his peers. This translates to a deeply harbored insecurity, as Isaiah tends to compensate for this by keeping a good posture and leaning forward when appropriate. Subconsciously, he tries to make himself appear as large as possible. As Isaiah grows older, he does mature, and actually pays a bit more attention to his appearance. In fact, he starts to adopt his scruffy appearance into a slightly more cultivated look. While Isaiah never puts more than a minimal effort into his look, he at least starts matching colors, preferring various shades of greens and blues, and his scruffy fur becomes far more deliberate and less sticky.
Personality: Isaiah likes to think of himself as rather clever, and while he certainly is, his impulsiveness often gets the better of him. He’s the type of mouse who’d meticulously plan some shenanigan a week in advance, only to get impatient and run headlong into mischief immediately. His dibbun days consist of a constant internal struggle balancing trying to be cleverer than everyone else and his impulsive recklessness.
Entering his teen years, Isaiah becomes more introspective, and tries to kick his recklessness as a bad habit. This, however, feeds his perfectionist streak, something nasty that evolved from his attempts to be the most clever mouse ever. Competition is an eternal draw for Isaiah, he always wants to prove he can be better than others, and even competes with himself. It’s this competition with himself that drives him in attempts to 'perfect' his personality later in life.
Finally, as an adult, he matures, and stops trying to change his personality so much as just learn from his mistakes. Still, his eternal attempts at being clever mixed with a dash of impulsiveness make for an unpredictable and erratic mouse.
